Dr. Aly is an Associate Professor and Consultant of Neonatal and Pediatric Surgery at Cairo University, Egypt. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Cairo University in 2003. His surgical career started in Cairo and continued in London where he was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons and specialist registration with the General Medical Council in the UK.

Dr. Aly is very keen on medical and surgical education. He has developed the Undergraduate Pediatric Surgery syllabus for New Giza University and the Post-graduate Pediatric Surgery training program for Cairo University. He has led multiple quality improvement projects, is a keen researcher and is internationally published.

In 2019 Dr. Aly joined OneHealth by AXA as the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, to establish a network of primary and secondary care clinics. Since 2021 he has led the Digital Health department which set the standards for teleconsultation and delivered offline care to thousands of clients on a monthly basis. 

Dr. Aly is a speaker in many international conferences, workshops and scientific events. He has a special interest in Gastroschisis and other congenital neonatal GIT conditions.
