Dr. An Na is an Academic Fellow at the Global Surgery Foundation and currently a DrPH candidate at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
She has worked in humanitarian health for more than a decade. She started her global health journey as Gynaecologist/Obstetrician for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)’s projects in Sierra Leone, Somaliland(Somalia), Pakistan, Ethiopia, and Afghanistan. She was the Project Coordinator of the sexual and reproductive health project in Manila, Philippines, and the Country Representative in China of MSF. She worked as a physician specialist delegate and as part of the hospital management team for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Yemen and Afghanistan since 2019.
Before joining humanitarian work, Dr. An Na trained as a Gynaecologist/Obstetrician and worked as an attending physician at Peking University Cancer Hospital, Beijing, China.
She holds MD and Master of Science degrees from Peking University and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Johns Hopkins University.
