Dr. Scott Corlew
Dr. Scott Corlew is faculty at the Program in Global Surgery and Social Change at Harvard Medical School. He previously served as Chief Medical Officer for Interplast, now called Resurge International. He has worked to facilitate surgical development and capacity building in South Asia, Central and South America, and sub-Saharan Africa. He has also worked in practice and hospital administration.
A plastic surgeon and general surgeon by training, his research interests are in the assessment and facilitation of surgical care delivery in low- and lower-middle income countries, and in economic evaluation of health care delivery. His major specific role at PGSSC is in facilitating National Surgical, Obstetric, and Anesthesia Plans in LMICs, particularly in the Southern Africa Development Community and in Nepal.
