The COVID-19 pandemic has caused drastic changes in surgical and anesthesia systems worldwide. While each region of our world has been affected, each country has their own approach to the pandemic as well as the delivery of essential surgical and anesthesia care during COVID. This is especially true in low- and middle-income countries.

As surgical and anesthesia care resume, anesthesiologists will face unique challenges – and they will play a unique role in ensuring safety for patients and providers alike.

This virtual town hall convened anesthesiologists from around the world to discuss the challenges they have experienced, the solutions they have seen, and what they see as the way forward for anesthesia care around the globe.
