Smile Train becomes Organisational Founding Partner of The Global Surgery Foundation
The Global Surgery Foundation (GSF) is very pleased to announce that Smile Train has joined the Global Surgery Foundation as an Organisational Founding Partner to support the development of The GSF over the coming years.
Smile Train’s contribution will allow The GSF to build its team and continue to support countries in their efforts to increase access to surgical care systems. Additionally, Smile Train will bring its partner network of 1,100+ hospitals and surgical facilities across low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) worldwide, its committed Global Medical Advisory Board and local Medical Advisory Councils, and executive thought leadership and expertise in research, surgery and anesthesia with a focus on cleft surgery, and to the extent possible and practicable, previously collected surgical data and records which it will provide to the initiative.
Smile Train is the world’s largest cleft-focused organization, with a sustainable and local model of supporting surgery and other forms of essential care. Over the last 20+ years, they have supported safe and quality cleft care for 1.5+ million children and will continue to do so until every child in need has access to the care they deserve.
The GSF is proud to count on the strong support of Smile Train and is looking forward to working together.
